Tener un hermano menor nos hace muy vulnerables a sentimientos encontrados. A veces los amamos, otras los sentimos hasta hijos propios, pero siempre queremos lo mejor para ellos. Este día lo vi a mi hnito muy feliz, y espero que pueda seguir siendo feliz toda una eternidad. Comparto algunas fotos de este día, que aunque pasaron algunos meses… fué un día hermoso!

A couple of weeks ago I had the great opportunity to be with this couple and their family and friends on this special occasion. I have to say we had a lot of fun, and even though I’ve gone through many weddings I’ve never gone through the things that happened on this day.

Hotel full of fans in the street because bands were staying also in the Faena Hotel-they came to play in Lollapalooza (forgot to study the band’s faces just in case) :P Bride and friends late for the ceremony, flat tire on my car, a friend’s car completely broken by the valet parking service that couldn’t be taken out of the parking lot, and many other details made this a wedding I won’t forget. But the good thing is everything went just fine. Like it always happens! And as you may see, everybody enjoyed it!

Hace un par de semanas tuve la oportunidad de estar con esta pareja y su familia y amigos en esta ocasión especial. Tengo que decir que nos divertimos un montón , y aunque he pasado por muchas bodas nunca pase por las cosas que ocurrieron en esta.

La puerta del hotel llena de fans de algunas bandas que también se estaban hospedando en el hotel Faena- vinieron a tocar en el Lollapalooza (me olvidé de estudiar sus caras por si los veía) :P La novia y sus amigas un poco tarde para la ceremonia, una goma de mi auto en el piso completamente pinchada, el auto de una de las amigas de la novia con la palanca de cambio rota por el chico del servicio de valet parking que no podía sacar del estacionamiento, y muchos otros detalles hacen de esta una boda que no olvidaré . Pero lo bueno es que todo salió genial. Como siempre pasa en días tan lindos! Y como pueden ver , todo el mundo se divirtió!

Olavarria

Family time during Christmas time meant Olavarria last year. We had some time to discover the beauty and that’s what I’m sharing today :)
Tiempo en familia durante la época de Navidad en Olavarria el año pasado. Tuvimos un tiempo para descubrir su belleza y eso es lo que estoy compartiendo hoy. :)

Bienvenido a casa Elder Ortega

Hey! As you may know I’m LDS. I was raised in a LDS home and have had many siblings serving a mission abroad, even my parents served as mission presidents. We loooove missions and are very happy to have a family always serving, which is awesome and at the same time it makes me miss the missionaries away from home. But this last one is particular because he is the last one to leave on a mission, he’s the last Elder Ortega for the following 8 years, in which my first nephew will be ready to leave o.o
He had a LOOOOOT of problems with his flight back home, not to say he came home without his passport, lost his first flight, spent the day in the argentine embassy, and arrived home early morning the next day. I’ve never been so happy to wake up at 3 am after sleeping 3 hours. I had never ever enjoyed waiting in an airport as much as the almost 3 hours in total in those 2 days.
His name is Nicolas, but as Peru may have known him he is Elder Ortega. And he will eternally be my baby brother. :)

Hey ! Como ustedes saben soy LDS . Me crié en un hogar LDS y he tenido muchos hermanos que cumplieron una misión afuera de mi pais, incluso mis padres sirvieron como presidentes de misión. Amamos las misiones y estamos muy contentos de tener una familia que siempre sirve, que es increible pero al mismo tiempo dificil por que extraño cuando estas fuera de casa. Pero este último es particular, porque él es el último en salir a una misión, es el último Elder Ortega por los siguientes 8 años, y luego mi primer sobrino estará listo para salir o.o
Tuvo un MONTÓN de problemas con su vuelo de regreso a casa, sin decir que llegó a casa sin su pasaporte, perdió su primer vuelo, pasó el día en la embajada argentina, y llegó a casa a la madrugada siguiente. Nunca había estado tan feliz de despertar a las 3 am después de dormir 3 horas. Nunca había disfrutado de esperar en un aeropuerto tanto como las casi 3 horas en total en esos 2 días.
Su nombre es Nicolas, pero Perú lo conoce como Elder Ortega. Y él eternamente ser mi hermanITO. :)

My parent’s house was suited up! / La casa de mis padres se puso de traje!

This was what we had the day of his arrival (we planned a dinner, but had to have that dinner the following day as a lunch) We argentines know how to cook meat at the right temperature, specially my dad / Esto fue lo que comimos el día de su llegada (planeamos una cena, pero tuvimos que comer esa cena al día siguiente como almuerzo) Nosotros los argentinos sabemos cómo cocinar la carne a la temperatura correcta, especialmente mi papá.

Last but not least, the video I made out of all this family time at the airport. Welcome home nico!

Familia Davison 2014

Last December was so much fun! It meant a lot of time with family and friends. This is a photoshoot with very nice people I enjoy spending time with. I’ve done their family pictures for the last years and absolutely love how the kids are growing! Some time with the Davison family :)

Diciembre fue tan divertido! Hubo mucho tiempo con la familia y amigos. Esta es una sesión de fotos con gente muy buena con quien me gusta pasar tiempo. He hecho sus fotos anuales cada año hace ya algunos años y me encanta cómo los niños están creciendo! Un tiempo con la familia Davison :)

Hi everybody! Christmas season is coming, and that means SPRING/SUMMER for the southern hemisphere. And that means a lot of pictures, family sessions, weddings, a LOT going on. I wanted to share this wedding with you guys! I absolutely love the simplicity they have, and this is natural beauty on its finest ;)

Hola a todos! LLega la temporada navideña, y eso significa PRIMAVERA/VERANO en el hemisferio sur. Y eso significa muchas fotos, sesiones familiares, casamientos, y MUCHO más. 5k

This is my number from last weekend’s 5k race I adventured in. I wasn’t sure how I would do, but I just wanted to make sure I at LEAST was from half the fastest. :P Not to say there were 9000 like me running that day.. haha.

I didn’t do as I expected though I was from half the fastest. The sun wasn’t my best friend, and it was really really hot. But even though I didn’t do as I would’ve liked to, I did it. And I’m sure this is the first of many to come! ;)

Este es mi número de la carrera de 5k en la que me aventuré. No sabía cómo me iba a ir, pero yo sólo quería asegurarme de que por lo menos era de la mitad de las más rápidas . : P Por no decir que había 9000 como yo corriendo ese día .. jaja .

No lo hice como esperaba aunque si fui de la mitad más rápida. El sol no fue mi mejor amigo , y estaba muy, muy pesado . Pero a pesar de que yo no lo hice como me hubiera gustado , lo hice . Y estoy seguro de que esta es la primera de muchas carreras por venir ! ; )
