Tener un hermano menor nos hace muy vulnerables a sentimientos encontrados. A veces los amamos, otras los sentimos hasta hijos propios, pero siempre queremos lo mejor para ellos. Este día lo vi a mi hnito muy feliz, y espero que pueda seguir siendo feliz toda una eternidad. Comparto algunas fotos de este día, que aunque pasaron algunos meses… fué un día hermoso!

A couple of weeks ago I had the great opportunity to be with this couple and their family and friends on this special occasion. I have to say we had a lot of fun, and even though I’ve gone through many weddings I’ve never gone through the things that happened on this day.
Hotel full of fans in the street because bands were staying also in the Faena Hotel-they came to play in Lollapalooza (forgot to study the band’s faces just in case) :P Bride and friends late for the ceremony, flat tire on my car, a friend’s car completely broken by the valet parking service that couldn’t be taken out of the parking lot, and many other details made this a wedding I won’t forget. But the good thing is everything went just fine. Like it always happens! And as you may see, everybody enjoyed it!
Hace un par de semanas tuve la oportunidad de estar con esta pareja y su familia y amigos en esta ocasión especial. Tengo que decir que nos divertimos un montón , y aunque he pasado por muchas bodas nunca pase por las cosas que ocurrieron en esta.
La puerta del hotel llena de fans de algunas bandas que también se estaban hospedando en el hotel Faena- vinieron a tocar en el Lollapalooza (me olvidé de estudiar sus caras por si los veía) :P La novia y sus amigas un poco tarde para la ceremonia, una goma de mi auto en el piso completamente pinchada, el auto de una de las amigas de la novia con la palanca de cambio rota por el chico del servicio de valet parking que no podía sacar del estacionamiento, y muchos otros detalles hacen de esta una boda que no olvidaré . Pero lo bueno es que todo salió genial. Como siempre pasa en días tan lindos! Y como pueden ver , todo el mundo se divirtió!
Hey! I have noticed during the past weeks all I share tends to be positive and super happy. It all turns to be as nice and shiny as I can bring up. I don’t want you to get me wrong, this is 99,9% of my life with Sammy, but there is also this few days that are gray. I call them my “down-to-know-how-good-it-feels-to-be-up” days. :P We all need to know the bitterness of a heartbreak to fully feel the joy life brings after this, and ONLY after knowing how much some things in life hurt we come to REJOICE when this is gone and better days come by. It’s a never-ending cycle of learning to deal with it.
Right! That sounds super easy, just stick to the thought that someday you will rejoice. Yeah I know it isn’t easy, trust me, I know. There are things we can’t deal with, then we just have to live with it.
After the “down-to-know-how-good-it-feels-to-be-up” day is gone I start to feel better immediately, but not only because it is gone, but because I make this big effort in focusing the good in life. (And because we share with Sammy the most encouraging experiences only left to him and me on this “special” days).
I know many of you suffer from these days as well, I guess it’s healthy for it to be this way. :) I know Jesus Christ knows my suffering, and yours as well. And through knowing this I can be comforted, because He really, REALLY knows. And I REJOICE He has risen, and that brings HOPE even in troubled times. And I want all to know that there is hope, that there is a way to feel peace even in hard days. Because of this, every time I feel the worst I earnestly look for people to help and comfort. It is wonderful to know I can help others, and I don’t have to feel perfectly well to do so. And I try to serve a little harder, a little better, and this brings AUTOMATIC comfort. For all of you who reeeeeeeeeeeally need comfort, I have a little gem! Read this!
I hope every one of you have the strength to pull forward, even in the hardest days. We all have them, we all will, and we should all understand many may be striving in silence, so be patient and loving. Always.
Hey! Noté durante las últimas semanas que todo lo que comparto tiende a ser positivo y súper feliz. Trato de que todo sea lo más lindo y agradable posible. No quiero que me mal interpreten, mi vida con Sammy es feliz el 99,9% de las veces, pero también hay algunos pocos días que son grises. Yo los llamo mis días “de-estar-abajo-para-saber-como-se-siente-estar-arriba”. : P Todos necesitamos conocer la amargura de una angustia para poder sentir plenamente la alegría que viene después de esto, y sólo después de saber cuánto algunas cosas en la vida duelen podemos alegrarnos cuando vienen días mejores. Es un ciclo que nunca termina de aprender a manejar esto.
¡Genial! Eso suena muy fácil, sólo luchan con la idea de que algún día será mejor. Sé que no es fácil, realmente, lo sé. Hay cosas que no podemos cambiar, entonces sólo tenemos que vivir con ello.
Después de que el día “de-estar-abajo-para-saber-como-se-siente-estar-arriba” se fue, me empiezo a sentir mejor de inmediato, pero no sólo porque pasó, sino porque hago un gran esfuerzo para enfocarme en lo bueno de la vida. (Y porque compartimos con Sammy las experiencias más lindas que sólo quedan para él y para mí en estos días “especiales”).
Sé que muchos de ustedes sufren de estos días, supongo que hasta es saludable. :) Sé que Jesucristo sabe mi sufrimiento, y el tuyo también. Y a través de conocer esto puedo ser consolada, porque Él realmente, realmente sabe. Y me regocijo porque ha resucitado, y trae esperanza, incluso en tiempos difíciles. Y quiero que todos sepan que hay ESPERANZA, que hay una manera de sentir la paz incluso en días difíciles. Debido a esto, cada vez que me siento de lo peor busco personas para ayudar y consolar. Es maravilloso saber que puedo ayudar a los demás, y no tengo que sentirme perfectamente bien para hacerlo. Y trato de servir un poco más, un poco mejor, y esto trae consuelo AUTOMÁTICO. Para todos ustedes que reaaaaaaaaaalmente necesitan consuelo, tengo una pequeña joya! Lean esto!
Espero que cada uno de ustedes tenga la fuerza para tirar hacia adelante, incluso en los días más duros. Todos los tenemos, todos los tendremos, y debemos recordar que muchos pueden estar luchando en silencio, así que sean pacientes y amorosos. Siempre.

As well as many of you I had the privilege of listening to our leaders last weekend (if you are wondering what I’m talking about please follow the link on the right “I Believe” :) ). One good thing was that April 4th was my birthday! Some may feel it was the worst thing to have to listen to 4 hours of conference on my special day, but far from that, I was thrilled! I couldn’t have had a better day. Not only did I enjoy the whole day with Sammy at home (and some friends at night), but I got to know what God wishes for me at this very moment of my life. That sounds like the best plans I could’ve had, right? :)
I wanted to share with my readers some of the quotes I LOVED from last weekend. Bad thing is I left many, many, many out. :/ There’s a lot for me to improve, a lot to work on.
Oh, and one last thing. I love our prophet and every single disciple of Christ who gives of their ENTIRE time for us. We have a prophet here in Earth!! Shouldn’t we be listening to what he has for us?? I sustain him, his counselors, the apostles, and every single man called by God. And on Saturday I firmly sustained them all, which also means telling the world how important they are for me.

Así como muchos de ustedes, tuve el privilegio de escuchar a nuestros líderes el fin de semana pasado (si te estas preguntando de lo que estoy hablando por favor hace click en el enlace de la derecha “I Believe” :)). Algo bueno fue que el 04 de abril fue mi cumpleaños! Algunos pueden pensar que era lo peor tener que escuchar las 4 horas de conferencia en mi día especial, pero lejos de eso, yo estaba FELIZ! No podría haber tenido un mejor día. No sólo tuve todo el día con Sammy en casa (y algunos amigos por la noche), pero tuve la oportunidad de saber lo que quiere Dios para mi vida en este momento. Eso suena como el mejor plan que podría haber tenido, ¿no? Asi es.
Quería compartir con mis lectoras algunas de las citas que me gustaron del fin de semana. Lo malo es que deje muchas, muchas, muchas afuera. : / Hay mucho para mejorar, mucho que trabajar.
Ah, y una última cosa. Amo a nuestro profeta y cada discípulo de Cristo que da de su tiempo ENTERO para nosotros. Tenemos un profeta acá en la Tierra!! ¿No deberíamos estar escuchando lo que él tiene para nosotros?? Yo le sostengo a él, a sus consejeros, a los apóstoles, y cada hombre llamado por Dios. Y el sábado los sostuve muy firmemente, lo que también significa decirle al mundo lo importante que son para mí.

A couple of days ago I published a picture of an envelope (with a book inside) I received through the mail. I was super excited about it and had to share the moment. Right after I loaded the image of the envelope I had people asking me to show the book itself and not just the surprising moment where I saw the envelope on my doorstep.
This is not a standard recipe book, it provides ideas on how to decorate cakes, and make “Cake Boss” type of cakes :P Yiang Mei is the author and the entrepreneur behind it. Check her out at her Facebook page.
This was sent all the way from London to Buenos Aires and I couldn’t have been more excited about it, because here in Argentina we have many customs problems and I truly believed I would never see the book in my hands. (YUP, super sad effect of bad decisions from our government). And finally it arrived and here it is for all of you to look :)
Un par de días atrás publiqué una foto de un sobre ( con un libro en su interior). Estaba súper emocionada y tenía que compartir el momento . Justo después de que subí la foto, la gente me pedía que les mostrara el libro en sí , y no solamente el momento sorprendente donde vi el sobre en mi puerta.

Este libro hizo todo el camino desde Londres a Buenos Aires y no me podía haber hecho más feliz porque acá en Argentina tenemos muchos problemas de aduana y yo realmente creía que nunca iba a ver el libro en mis manos. (Sí , efecto triste de las malas decisiones de nuestro gobierno ) . Y finalmente llegó y aquí esta para que todos ustedes puedan observar :)

LDS missionaries coming home are very exciting! I’ve designed some tags for my nephews and nieces to have while waiting for my brother coming home from Peru.
